Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education Multan was established in 1968 under the West Pakistan BISE (Multan and Sargodha) Ordinance. Initially it was working under Bise Lahore Board, but it was bifurcated and was authorized as independent body under the Punjab Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Act 1976. It is an autonomous body and es empowered to make new rules and regulations regarding education, courses, and examination taking procedure in it’s division. It does not receive any donation or grant in aid from the Government or any semi Government agency. Most of it’s revenue comes from the examination fees collected from the candidates.
Current jurisdiction of Bise Multan includes the districts of Multan, Khanewal, Vehari and Lodhran. The students of Matriculation and Higher Secondary School of these divisions are bound to appear in the ssc and HSsc examinations conducted by this Board. The current chairman of the board is Chaudhry Rasheed Ahmad, while Prof. Arshad Javaid Awan is the controller Of examination and Prof. Arshad Javaid Awan is performing his duties as secretory of the Multan Board. It’s official building is located at High Court Colony, Multan.
PEC stands for Punjab Examination Commission (sometimes it is also pronounced as Punjab Education Commission) was established in 2005 to give better learning environment to the grade 5th students. Since then it is the duty of this educational governing body to provide fair, unbiased healthy learning environment to the elementary level students. It also have a mission to provide services to improve the students learning and polish their talent, skills and abilities of learning.
Pec.edu.pk is the official website of Punjab Examination Commission from where students can get all the important information regarding registration, date sheets, roll number slips etc. It has created it’s offices in 36 districts of Punjab. Where related Edos and other officers are available to assist the students and resolve their issues. This year the last date for 5th class registration was 10 October.
