Now it is compulsory for all the students of grade 5 and 8 who are studying in the private or public schools residing inside the Punjab Province to appear in the annual board examination conducted by Punjab Examination Commission. Previously their was false belief in some people mind that this exam is optional, which is false and totally baseless.
No admission form is required to appear in Pec Examination, only registration is required, on the basis of which later on roll no slips are issued to all the students of Government and Private Sector Schools. Usually he registration is open after summer vacation and students of 5th and 8th class can get registered by filling the forms available at the official website of Punjab Education Commission which www.pec.edu.pk, and the same forms are available at the education offices of all the districts where the examinations are conducted. PEC does not register any candidate in any case, it only issues the roll number slips. This procedure took place in two steps, first Punjab Examination Commission issues slips to the related districts for verification, once the verification is done and changes have been made by districts, then the final roll no slips are issued to the each districts, and later on the education officer of each district delivers these slips to the candidates of public and private schools.
This year the 5th class examination was conducted by Punjab Examination Commission in the month of February. First paper was commenced on February, 04, 2014. Punjab Board issued the roll number slips of primary exams to the candidates and examination centres in the 2nd week of January. The Roll number slips of Government School’s students were sent to their respective schools. The result of 5th class will be announced in the end of March. Once it is declared by officials, it will be available on this site, in district wise.
It is the duty of the Executive District Office to arrange the administration of tests. So they make all the necessary arrangements to create examination centers nearby schools or students, select the invigilators, and superintendent to monitor the examination conducting procedure. Generally in the first and 2nd weeks of February the examination of elementary level are conducted, and the result is prepared within 6 weeks. Every year the result gazettes with complete marks information of all the candidates who appeared in the examination is delivered on 31st March.
