Gujrat District

Gujarat District is a well known district of Pakistan situated in Punjab province. It is belonging to one of the oldest places; in 460 BC Raja Bachhan Pal founded this land. Before the establishment of Pakistan it was under the controlled of Britishers. At that time majorities of the peoples were Muslims that’s why its became a part of Pakistan. All the minorities of Hindus and Sikhs migrated to India. In the past it was consider one of the major industrial and commercial centers. Rice was the major product of the Gujarat. Most of the major industries was also situated here.Gujjaratta was the word from the name Gujarat is derived, which means Gujjars land.Gujjars is the name of the tribe who migrated from India.

It is located in the north of the Punjab. Chenab and Jhelum are the two famous Rives of Pakistan between which the district lies. This is an agricultural land mostly rice and sugar cane are cultivated here. Boundaries of the district are like this:  Mirpur joins from northeast, Chenab River joins from southeast and Mandi Bahauddin joins from the west. Every year these elementary level examinations are conducted by authorities in the month of February. Punjab Education Commission issues the date sheet in the first week of January along with roll number slips.
