This system works on the base of feedback provided by 36 districts, which helps in the policy decision making, educational management and improvement in student’s learning. The word Khushab is the combination of two words: Khush smeans that sweet or tasty and aab mean water. One of the well knew a rural tribe district of khushab district which is located in Punjabi province. Jauharabad is the capital of this district. This is a highly populated region; its total population according to 1998 census was 905,711. This land consists of three tehsils which are Khushab, Noorpur Thal and Quaidabad. Naushehra is also a sub tehsil of the district. It is situated between 32.3° North latitude and 72.35° East longitude. Approximately 174 meters is the elevation or above the sea level. The district contains fifty one union councils. Geographically this district lies between Mianwali and Sarghodha cities near the river Jhelum. Chakwal and Jhelum district join this district from the northern side where as Jhang and Bhakkar districts from southern side. Total area of the district is approximately 6511 square kilmetres. Inhabitant of the district spoke Punjabi language in various dialects like Shapuri, Majhi, Pothohari, Thalochi and Jandali. National language which is Urdu also understandable by these people.

History of this area starts from hundreds of years ago. During the Indus Valley Civilization it was an agricultural region with forest. In 997 CE the governor of this land was Sultan Mahmud Ghaznavi who was a great empire, after the decline of his period Mughal Empire came and ruled that area. Numbers of primary, secondary and college level institutes are present in the district. The education department day by day increasing their progress in order to enhance literacy rate. According to latest survey the literacy rate is 65%. Other technical institutes and university is also present here. There is a campus of Arid University which is operating in the district. Most famous schools and college in the district are DPS Khushab & Fauji foundation Khushab. Traditional craft of the district is Khaddar. Industries are also present here most prominent are Kohinoor Sugar Mills, Sally Textile Mills and Pioneer Cement Mills, Shadab flour mills, Habit jute mills and Olympia chemical . Climate of the district has extremely too cold in winter as well as too hot in summer because the land consist of mainly hills, plains, plateaus and desert. Agriculture is the occupation of most of the people here. Mostly Sugarcane, Gram, Rice and Wheat are cultivated crops of this district. Main fruits are Banana, Citrus and Guavas and potato, tomato and Cauliflower are vegetables grown here. Ores and minerals of several kinds are also extracted from this land. Every year these elementary level examinations are conducted by authorities in the month of February. Punjab Education Commission issues the date sheet in the first week of January along with roll number slips. With the advancement in technology it has opened an IT based window to deal directly with the student’s problems, and provide them efficient solutions online. Now as per government policy, grade 5 and 8 examinations are mandatory for all the students of private / public schools and madaris functioning within the province of Punjab. So a misconception that papers conducted by Pec are optional is totally false and baseless.
