This system works on the base of feedback provided by 36 districts, which helps in the policy decision making, educational management and improvement in student’s learning. Vehari district was established in 1976. This is situated in Punjab province. In the past it was included as a tehsil of Multan District. The name is given because of low lying settlement through a flood water cannel. History of the district starts from the Indus Valley Civilization. This area was ruled by many famous leaders like Sultan Mahmud Ghaznavi, Delhi Sultanate, Mughal Empire, Indo-Greek kingdom, Kushan Empire, Gupta Empire, White Huns, Kushano-Hephthalites and Shahi kingdoms. After that Sikh ruled this place finally this land becomes a part of Islamic state which is Pakistan because Muslims lived in this place in majorities.

Punjabi is the main language which is spoken in the district usually in Malwi and Majhi dialects. Urdu being a national language is also understandable here where as only educated elite families spoke English language. This district is divided in to three tehsils which are Burewala, Mailsi and Vehari. Sub tehsils are Gaggo, Karam Pur and Jallah Jeem. Vehari is considering as the capital of the district. This area has huge populated area. Total population is about 2,613,020 according to 1998 census. Total land occupied by the district is approximately 4,373 square kilometers. Its length is about approximately 93 kilometers and its breadth is about 47 kilometers approximately.  It is situated between 29°36′N 71°44′E and 30°22′N 72°53′E. It is the centre of many famous cities such as Bahawalnagar, Bahawalpur, Pakpattan, Khanewal, Lodhran, Sahiwal and Khanewal.

Climate of the district has very hot and dry in summer as well as   very cold in winters.  Hottest month in the district is usually May, June and July. Winters start from November to March. People of this district have number of characteristics like they are straight forward, simple, hard worker, well manner and hospitable. This area has lot industries in the district. This is also a large industrial area of Pakistan. In this area Cotton is produced in the superior quantity therefore there are 115 cotton factories are operating such as Rahim Baksh Cotton Factory, Ittefaq Cotton Factory, Mehfoz Cotton Factory and Allahyar Cotton Factory.  Other industries are textile mill which is Gulshan Textile Mill, around 30 Oil Mills and there are also 3 flour Mills in the district present, People from different areas of Pakistan are also come here for employments.  Major crops of the district are Cotton, wheat and sugarcane. Most common fruits of the district are citrus, mangoes and guava. There are a lot of natural resources in this land. Its true to say that this place is one of the great blessing for Allah Almighty.

Every year these elementary level examinations are conducted by authorities in the month of February. Punjab Education Commission issues the date sheet in the first week of January along with roll number slips. With the advancement in technology it has opened an IT based window to deal directly with the student’s problems, and provide them efficient solutions online. Now as per government policy, grade 5 and 8 examinations are mandatory for all the students of private / public schools and madaris functioning within the province of Punjab. So a misconception that papers conducted by Pec are optional is totally false and baseless.
